It is with a heavy heart and great
sadness that I write this blog today. We are all used to seeing some amount of
violence on our television. In fact, it has become such a regular thing in our
society, most of us have become complacent to it. In other words, we see so
much of it everyday that instead of becoming angry about it we have trained
ourselves to learn to accept it as “the new normal” and consider it to be
disconcerting.
In my book, Easy to Read Bible Stories: Genesis, God warned
Cain not to allow his feelings overtake his common sense or he would certainly
regret it; unfortunately, we all know how that turned out. Thousands of years
later, mankind has gone through one trial and tribulation after another. God
even destroyed the entire world in an effort to cleanse all the evil in the
world and start anew. Sadly, Satan’s grip on mankind’s willingness to sin is
excessively tight.
Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God in the garden of Eden may seem minor in comparison to what we see today but God knew ahead of time, before they even considered touching the forbidden fruit, what the consequences would be.

In Moses, the Israelites were being held in
captivity for over four hundred years. Their crime? Disobeying God.
Sound harsh? Maybe. If you were to read the story, you
would see that God told them ahead of time that they had a choice to make.
Either they could choose to obey God and He would bless them – they
would want for nothing, or they could choose to do whatever they wanted
to do (follow the lifestyles of their neighbors) and they would suffer greatly
by the very neighbors they want to be like.
Finally, in my most recent book, Why God, we (as a
society) consistently ask questions such as, Why do bad things happen to good people?, instead
of asking questions like, What is forgiveness, or Who is Jesus? What is Jesus love? What is grace?
The racism protests around the country
are continuing and the violence has increased. What started out as a peaceful
protest against racism and police going to far in their duties had turned
equally wrong by the citizens when they turned violent. No doubt, if we were
still willing to hear God’s voice, he would have warned us against this before
it happened.
I walk into a local business and if the
news is turned on, I see rioting, looting, graffiti everywhere; even the statue
of President Abraham Lincoln was torched! Why? Because his skin color was white
(or not black)? This was the man that passed the law that slavery
was wrong and would not be tolerated!
I am starting to believe that these
protests and violence are not being done by the same people. In this I mean
that I think there is one group of people who are protesting their anger
against those in power as peaceful protestors and then there are those who love
the violence and hatred. They worship the god of this world and not the
God of creation. If only they would ask questions such as, What are the signs of the end times or Who is the Antichrist? If only they read Christian books.
Even on our televisions shows, the music
we listen to, the movies we watch, etc., the discontempt for God is everywhere
but nobody is asking or remotely concerned if we are living in the age of the end of the world.
Ironically, as mentioned earlier in this
blog, God warned the people prior to disaster occurring. Some reading this blog
may ask why we, in today’s society, did not get a warning about the recent
tragedies (just this year). A worldwide pandemic, “murder hornets”, civil unrest at an
all-time high, natural disasters around the globe are increasing at an alarming
rate.
Then, there are things happening behind
the scenes that most of the public does not even know about yet. These are the
things that God did warn us about: global natural disasters will
increase, the world’s hatred for God (and each other) will increase, the child
will turn against their parent and the parent will hate their child, the list
goes on. What about things that haven’t happened yet but were prophesied? The
stage is being set for: the rise of the antichrist, a one-world currency, and soon
following will be the mark of the beast, a one-world religion, horrible plagues (the world
has never seen anything like this nor will again).
Is there any hope for us?
Absolutely! There is always hope until your body is in the grave. For many
people, reading their Bible is too difficult. It is for this reason that I
wrote the books that I did. For the kids, I wrote, Easy to Read Bible Stories: Genesis and Moses. One could read about Noah’s
Ark and worldwide floods too. Don’t worry if you are an
adult, you can read these too and learn plenty!
Don’t bother listening to the devil when he tells you those are kids’
books. Have you ever watched tv shows like: The Simpsons, American Dad,
Futurama, etc. – are those not cartoons made for adults?
Alas, there is also Why God?: answers to the world’s top questions about God for the adults. Here is where the material gets to the thick of the important topics not being discussed in the world: What is mercy, What is grace, What is forgiveness, Who is the antichrist and who is Jesus (the Christ or savior / messiah). Try this – rather than just quickly reading through this blog and then going about your day, ask yourself the above questions in blue and see how many you can answer. Would you be able to explain it to someone who does not know?
